Meeting Summaries

  • 1/14/26: Veterans shared initial thoughts on the idea of contributing personal stories to the platform. One participant described the difficulty of putting experiences into words, especially when those experiences involve loss or trauma. Another emphasized the importance of controlling how their story is presented, noting that context and tone matter just as much as the facts.

  • 2/20/26: Participants reviewed the current version of the website and provided feedback on usability and tone. Several veterans noted that the site felt respectful and straightforward, but suggested making the purpose more immediately clear on the homepage. One participant mentioned that seeing other veterans’ stories helped reduce hesitation about sharing their own. There was also discussion about including more visible resources for mental health and transition support.

  • 3/15/26: This session focused on what types of stories veterans feel are often overlooked. Participants expressed that public narratives tend to focus heavily on combat, while experiences such as transition to civilian life, family dynamics, and identity shifts are less visible but equally important. One veteran shared that everyday moments after service can be just as defining as deployment itself. The group discussed ways to highlight a wider range of experiences without forcing a specific narrative.

Driven by curiosity and built on purpose, this is where bold thinking meets thoughtful execution. Let’s create something meaningful together.
