My dad and uncle were officers in the Korean war so I decided to join as well. I was living in Philadelphia.

Where did you serve during your time in uniform?

Ft Dix, NJ, Florida, Germany

What were some of your key memories during your time of service? 

I came into the army at 18 years old when I had still lived with my parents. After the army, I joined the National Guard which made me more mature.

What is an important value that you took away from your military experience? 

The military made me take life more seriously and gave me more discipline.

 What advice would you give someone interested in joining the military?

The military isn’t for everybody. If you can’t honor your family then you can’t honor nobody.
